Every Believer is Called to be a Missionary

Text: Mark 16:15 – “And He said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.”

Beloved, the call to missions is not for a special class of Christians, it is for every child of God. The moment you believed in Christ, you became a witness of His saving power. Salvation is both a gift and a responsibility.

The Church sometimes thinks that missionaries are only those who travel to foreign lands, but the truth is that missions begin where you are. Your home, your workplace, your school, your street – these are your first mission fields. If you cannot preach Christ to those around you, you will not suddenly find boldness to preach in a distant land.

Jesus did not say, “Pastors, go.” He did not say, “Evangelists, go.” He said to all His disciples, “Go ye into all the world.” That includes you. You may not have the title of preacher, but you have the testimony of Christ. Your story, your transformation, and your daily life are messages God wants the world to see and hear.

Why must every believer be a missionary?

1. Because the world is lost without Christ (Romans 10:14). If you don’t tell them, who will?


2. Because you are a light (Matthew 5:14). Light is useless if it hides.


3. Because Christ is counting on you. You are His mouth, His hands, His feet on earth today.



Beloved, you may never stand on a crusade platform, but you can share the gospel with your neighbor. You may not travel overseas, but you can support those who go and still preach Christ in your community. Missions is not about location; it is about obedience.

Conclusion

Every believer is called to be a missionary – in words, in actions, in lifestyle, and in sacrificial giving. Do not sit idle in the kingdom. Someone’s salvation may depend on your obedience to share Christ.

Prayer: Lord, make me a true missionary. Open my eyes to see my mission field and give me boldness to declare Christ wherever I go. Amen.
